Kenzie was having such a good run of not having any rejection for a year. She usually ends up having rejection at least once a year it seems like. It was clinic time when we got to the hospital and Kenzie seemed tired Dr. E came in and took a look at her, her levels were high. Kenzie was just laying on the bed not looking like her self.
They decided to get her tested for strep and the flu. The strep came back positive and the flu came back negative. So Dr. E decided it would be better to admit her to watch her for a few days.
When she got admitted later that night Dr. Tani came and checked on her and heard an extra sound in her heart so the next day she got a cath done and sure enough she was in rejection. So I guess it was a good thing she got admitted because her echo looked good. Her pressures came back high and her biopsy came back with antibody rejection again. Thankfully it was only a mild rejection and she didn't need the foresees done this time around she hated that. She ended up on 9 medications and was able to go home with in a few days. We had to come back to clinic that Thursday for a check up. Then after that it was once a week then it went to twice a week and we are back to once a month.
She did get her annual cath and the rejection was gone but her pressures where still high so they are keeping an eye on that.
We were on house arrest for a few months just to be safe since the flu season this year was ridiculously high and I didn't want to risk Makenzie or any of my other kids getting sick.
Thank you all for your continued prayers for Makenzie she is such a strong sweet little girl who I love so much!
