We have had to watch Makenzie cry, laugh, be scared of the what ifs, had months were she wouldn't even talk. Have very hard conversation that no parents would ever want to have with doctors, nurses and your child. We have had many good days and some very scary days, I have cried more times than I can count, and my mind wanders to places that I hate. I'm trying to be as strong as I can for Makenzie but some days are to hard, and sweet Makenzie always finds a way to help me get through it, and then there are days where we just cry together.
This has been a very long journey, compared to her first transplant, We only waited 26 days out patient.
We are still trying to be very positive that when it is the right time Kenzie will receive a heart and kidney.
By celebrating, because we have to find something to celebrate if your stuck in the hospital, Kenzie wanted to pass out cupcakes to everyone, and her dad brought her up roses, two roses to be exact 1 for each 100 days.
Thank you all for the continued prayers for our sweet Kenzie, she is one tough girl who is still ready to conquer this world, and not give up.
*On a side note, we are going to miss Kenzie's nurse Maggie she is moving to the picu.
