Makenzie Age 14

Makenzie is 14 we are thankful for her donor to give us these 13 extra years with her to watch her learn and grow, here are to many more years.  We celebrated it at the hospital. Her friends were able to come and have a picture scavenger hunt and Ella her friend made her a surprise Pinata cake that had skittles in the middle of the cake.
We also had family come up and celebrate with her, everyone pitched in and bought her a nice snow cone maker. Her nurses made her a big birthday sign that was in front of her hospital room.

Heart Rhythms

Makenzie has been having some heart Rhythm issues, and her heart rate was going all over the place and it got scary, she started to pass out and get confused and thought she was going to die. They brought in the pacemaker machine to try and correct the arrhythmias, and thankfully it worked.
But they did take Kenzie to the CICU to monitor her, and decided she needed a lead on one of her chambers so then next morning  she went to the Cath lab for a biopsy and to put in an additional pacemaker wire. It took so long, I really hate waiting for procedures to get done with. But after 2 hrs they were finished and she did great, and the new pacer wire was working. They had her stay in the CICU for another night to monitor her and the next day she was able to go back to the floor.
