11 years heartaversary

11 years ago today we got the call that Makenzie had a potential Donor. It was such an emotional day. How can you pray for some child to pass on so your child could live. It is such a fine line. We are so thankful that she was able to receive a Heart and her Donor family chose to donate their child's heart so Makenzie can live. That is something you can't ever really feel like you've thanked them enough for the gift of life. We sent off 11 balloons this year and Kenzie made a brownie treat to celebrate her born again Birthday!!!
